Choose two days you can actually use.

This example uses Saturday and Sunday. Friday and Saturday, or two weekdays, can work just as well if those are your days off. Decide how much time you can set aside on each day before adding extra work. A two-day plan still needs a separate place for everyday upkeep.

Review the six jobs before keeping the sample.

The weekend template includes kitchen surfaces, bathroom cleaning, vacuuming, bedding, dusting and towels. Its editable estimates total 100 minutes. A studio, a shared apartment or a home with different surfaces may need a different list. Replace broad labels with clear tasks and include only the spaces you intend to cover.

Allow for the whole job.

A line such as “Wash towels | 15” is an example estimate for planning your involvement. It does not predict a machine cycle or drying time. The tool treats each line as one task and keeps it on one day. Where order matters, review the result and move the work in your own calendar or split it into genuinely separate steps.

Decide what happens when a day disappears.

If you lose one of the two days, choose a shorter list for the remaining day. Doubling every task can make the plan unusable. Keep the full weekly sheet as a reference, then edit a temporary version for this week. The tool does not automatically reschedule missed work or know which jobs are urgent.

A complete Saturday and Sunday example

The two days below are generated from the weekend template using its six actual task estimates and a 60-minute daily target. Both days contain 50 estimated minutes. This leaves room below that target, but it does not include the daily reset or predict the time your home will need.

100 estimated weekly minutes · daily habits are additional
DayWeekly tasksEstimated time
SaturdayClean bathroom (25 min); Change bedding (15 min); Dust surfaces (10 min)50 min

Additional daily habits: put things back, wipe up spills and clear the sink.

Adjust the weekend template for your apartment

  1. Open the weekend cleaning template and choose Customize this template.
  2. Change the spaces and task lines to match your apartment. Choosing a room alone does not replace the task list; Use room suggestions does.
  3. Select Saturday and Sunday, or your own two days off.
  4. Replace the time estimates and review both daily totals. One task stays on one day.
  5. Choose Letter or A4, inspect every preview page and download your edited plan.

For a shorter starting list, the small-apartment template has 80 estimated weekly minutes. It starts on three days; select your own two days in its editor if that suits you. For a week with less time, use the reduced-plan example.

Print this weekend sample

Use the US Letter weekend PDF or A4 weekend PDF for the unchanged 100-minute example. Both contain the task list shown above. If you edit the plan, download the new version from the editor. Printing help explains scaling and saving a separate copy.
